A call, a review, or a full build. If a build is not worth the money, I'll say so on the call.
Based in Christchurch, working with firms across New Zealand over video call and screen-share. More on working from Christchurch. Not sure if Kove is the right fit? Who this works for, and who it does not.
A 30-minute call about how your week runs. No prep needed, on a video call. We work out whether there's something here worth building.
Most people don't know whether their problem is worth automating until they've talked it through. This call settles that, at no cost, before you spend anything on the next step.
A written plan for the one process worth automating first. I sit with your team over screen-share, map how the work actually happens, and set out what to build, what it saves, and what it costs.

Most builds are scoped on the free 30-minute call. The Review is for a process that needs mapping first. Its $3,500 fee is credited against a build started within 90 days. You keep the written plan even if you never work with me again.
Want a rough number before you pay for one? The ROI calculator works out the payback on a build from the hours you'd stop doing by hand.

Illustrative. One process through the four steps; the names, dates and numbers are made up.
A free 30-minute call about how your week runs. No prep needed from you. We find the jobs eating the most hours.
30 minutes · no prepThe Workflow Review: a written plan for the one process worth automating first. What to build, what it saves, what it costs. Useful even if you stop there.
one-page summary · full report · yours to keepI build in the open. Working software in weeks, and you test it on real jobs while it's still easy to change.
working software · weeksYour code, your accounts, your keys. I train your team, write the docs, and back it with a warranty: 60 days on larger builds, 30 on small fixed-price builds.
code · accounts · keys · docs · warranty (60 or 30 days)Calls run on video. Sessions are recorded, with a written recap sent the same day. For the build, I work from one named account in your Microsoft 365, set up only after you sign, never before. Every fortnight there's a 20-minute demo of what's been built. Handover is recorded too, so your team can watch it back later. You own everything: the code, the credentials, the documentation.
Pick a slot on the calendar. Thirty minutes, free, and nothing to install or fill in beforehand.
I read whatever you put in the form. If you sent nothing, that is fine, we start from how your week runs instead.
You describe how the work runs now and where it breaks. If automating it is not worth the money, I will say so on the call rather than send a proposal.
Most builds are scoped on the free 30-minute call. If the process needs mapping first, I recommend the $3,500 Workflow Review: a written plan you own whether or not I build it. The fee is credited against a build started within 90 days. If a build does not make sense, you have spent half an hour and nothing else.
Not every job needs a six-week build. These are the systems I set up most often, sized to the problem in front of you.
Answers the common questions, captures the job details, and knows when to hand off to a real person. Trained on your services and your pricing rules.
Invoices, forms and RFQs read automatically and entered into your systems. No more retyping PDFs into Xero.
Reads what comes in, sorts it, drafts the replies, routes the rest. Quote requests stop sitting unread for three days.
Site meetings and client calls transcribed and summarised with action points, then filed where your team will find them.
New enquiries scored against your ideal job profile and followed up within minutes, not days.
Once a job is paid, the customer gets a thank-you and the date their next service is due, plus a review ask. You approve every email. From $2,000, fixed, no monthly fee. More on this →
Off-the-shelf software covers most of how you work. I build the part it misses, on the Microsoft 365 you already pay for where it can be, scoped to a fixed price first.
One screen pulling from Xero, your job system and your spreadsheets. The Monday-morning numbers, already there when you sit down.
I use your existing Microsoft 365 licence where it covers the build; Dataverse, premium connectors and Copilot Studio may need extra licences, which I price before you commit. More on this →
A SQL Server or Access system moved into SharePoint or Dataverse with the front end rebuilt as a Power App, source and documentation handed over. A fixed $8,000 to $18,000 for a firm under 20 staff, migration included. How a migration works →
The questions owners ask first are which tool to pay for and whether it is safe with client data. This is the answer, scoped and priced on the free call.
ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini, whichever suits your firm, with the right licence, clear rules for client data and a one-page staff AI policy. Then hands-on training on your own email and documents, and your first three use cases built and handed over. It drafts, you approve: nothing sends or books on its own. A two to three week engagement, scoped and priced on the free call. Worth reading first: Copilot Business price and whether it pays and is Copilot safe for confidential information. The full picture is on the AI consultant page, and accounting practices have their own version.
A structured look at where AI fits your business, and where it doesn't. The report is yours to keep and I don't use it to pitch you.
For trades whose customers come back, Job Wrap-Up is a fixed-price build from $2,000: a thank-you and the next service date once a job is paid, plus a review ask, every email approved by you. Two migrations come up often enough to have their own pages: an Access database into Power Apps, priced in NZD, and the two Windows Server and SQL Server end dates that have now passed, Windows Server 2012 R2 (13 October 2026) and SQL Server 2016. If you run Tradify and Xero and wonder what a build adds, what the two actually sync is the place to start, and Business Central or a Power App on Xero covers the bigger accounting question.
Usually 2–4 weeks from Workflow Review to first build day.
First milestone is 50% on signing, 50% on acceptance. If you don't accept, you don't pay the second half.
See the work page. The enterprise builds come from my health-sector background and are anonymised. The rest are tools I built and run in my own business. Client builds get the same standard, with proper scoping.
Rarely. Ongoing support works when there's already infrastructure to maintain.
No. You describe the problem in plain language. I handle everything technical and hand it back running.
I can build entirely local, air-gapped systems where nothing leaves your machine. No cloud APIs, no third-party data handling. Common requirement for healthcare and legal clients.
Yes, once staff use AI tools with work or client information. The Privacy Act 2020 still applies to personal information typed into those tools, and MBIE's responsible AI guidance for businesses names AI usage policies as a good way to set clear expectations for staff. I can write a short one-page staff AI policy as part of setting a team up with AI.
Straightforward single automations typically land between $4,000 and $8,000. Bigger builds like a custom CRM or job-tracking system run $10,000 to $22,000. Moving a SQL Server or Access system into Microsoft 365 (SharePoint or Dataverse) is a fixed $8,000 to $18,000 for a firm under 20 staff, migration included. An AI enablement sprint, Copilot and Microsoft 365 AI rolled out with usage rules and your team onboarded, is scoped and priced on the free 30-minute call, as are most builds. If the process needs mapping first, the Workflow Review is $3,500, credited against a build started within 90 days.
Four to eight weeks to working software, and smaller ones land at the short end. I'll give you a realistic timeline after scoping.
I fix bugs in what I build free for 60 days after handover on larger builds, and 30 days on the small fixed-price builds. You own every app, flow and the documentation in your own Microsoft 365 tenant, so if I am unavailable any Power Platform person can pick it up.
Book a free 30-minute call and leave knowing whether there's something worth building. Already got a quote you are not sure about? I'll give you a free written second opinion within two working days.
