Job Wrap-Up · for NZ trades under 20 staff

The job's paid. Then your customer hears nothing.

Once a job is paid, the customer gets a thank-you and the date their next service is due, plus a review ask on the jobs you tick. You approve every email before it goes, and nothing sends on its own.

The gap after the job

You do the work, you send the invoice, the money lands, and that is usually the end of it. The customer never hears that you saw the payment. Nobody tells them when the next service is due, so they forget, or they call someone else. And the review you would have liked never gets asked, because asking means remembering, at the moment you have already moved on to the next job.

Most trades software covers the quote, the booking and the invoice. The bit after payment tends to be left for you to do by hand. Job Wrap-Up does that one bit, and does it the way you would if you had the time.

How it works

Three steps, and you hold the last one.

01

The job is paid

You mark the job paid in your job sheet, or your software tells it so where it can. That is the only trigger. Nothing happens on a job until then.

02

A draft is ready

A thank-you for that customer waits for you as a draft, with the date their next service is due. The date comes from the service interval for that type of job, and you can change it.

03

You tick and approve

You choose whether this job gets a review ask, then approve the email with one click. Leave the box unticked and the customer just gets the thank-you and the date.

Fixed-price build

Job Wrap-Up

from $2,500

Built on the mail and spreadsheet you already use, Gmail and Google Sheets or Outlook and Excel. I agree the price with you before I start, and you keep everything I build.

You get
  • A thank-you drafted when a job is marked paid
  • The next service date in that draft, from the interval you set per job type
  • A review ask you tick on the jobs you choose
  • One-click approval on every email
  • A short recorded walkthrough for you and your team
You don't get
  • Anything sent without your approval
  • A bot that books jobs or replies to customers
  • A review ask on every customer by default
What moves the price

More job types with their own service interval, or connecting to job software that can tell it a job is paid. I check that second one before I quote, and I say so if your software cannot.

What your software leaves for you to do

Job Wrap-Up sits beside what you already run. Before you pay for it, check what your own tool already does after payment. This is what I found reading each vendor's own documentation in September 2026.

If you useWhat is left for you to do
XeroIt does not send a thank-you when an invoice is paid. Xero's own community and product-ideas forum both say so.
ServiceM8Its reminders add-on puts the next-service nudge in your staff inbox. It does not message the customer, so you still have to act on it.
JobberIt sends a thank-you and a review ask when an invoice is paid. The review ask is switched off one client at a time, not ticked per job, and sits behind a paid add-on.
NoCowboys, Google Business ProfileYou get a link, a template or a sticker. Nothing connects a paid job to the ask, so you have to remember to send it.

Using Tradify, Fergus, Google Sheets or something else? Check what yours already sends before you spend anything. If it already does the job, I will tell you on the call and you will have lost half an hour, not $2,500.

Who it is for

Trades with under 20 staff where the same customer comes back: gutter cleaning, window cleaning, house wash, lawns, pest control, heat pump servicing and similar. If a customer is worth a call again in six or twelve months, the next-service date earns its keep. If every job is a one-off, the thank-you and the review ask still work, but the date does less for you.

It is for the owner who wants to stay in charge of what goes out under their name. If you would rather a system just sent things, this is not it, and I will say that on the call.

Questions trades ask

Asked before the first call.

Does anything go to my customers without me seeing it?

No. Every email waits as a draft until you approve it. Nothing sends, books or replies on its own, and the review ask is only added to the jobs you tick.

What job software does it work with?

It starts from a simple job sheet and the mail you already use, Gmail and Google Sheets or Outlook and Excel. Whether your job software can tell it a job is paid is something I check before I quote, and I say so plainly if it cannot.

Do I have to ask every customer for a review?

No. The review ask is a tick box on each job. Leave it unticked for the awkward one and the customer gets the thank-you and the next service date only.

What does it cost?

From $2,500, fixed price, agreed before I start. The exact figure depends on your job sheet and how many job types have their own service interval. Full tier detail is on the services page.

Can I see it before I commit?

There is no public demo yet. On the free 30-minute call I walk through the draft and approve step against how your jobs run, and you decide from there.

Would that be useful for you?
