For a small NZ wholesaler on Unleashed, Cin7 Core or MYOB, the builds worth paying for sit around the inventory system: repeat-order intake, overdue-account chasing and back-order notices. $4,000 to $8,000 each, fixed price.
Wholesalers and distributors with under 20 staff, on Microsoft 365, running an inventory system (Unleashed, Cin7 Core, or MYOB with its stock module) but still typing orders in from emails and phone calls, chasing overdue accounts from memory, and telling customers about a back-order only after they ask. The inventory system knows what is on the shelf; these builds cover the conversation with the trade customer around it. Everything runs remotely, priced flat before anything starts. See who Kove is for and who it is not for the wider fit.
Each is one build at $4,000 to $8,000. None replaces the inventory system or the accounting ledger.
| Build | What it does | Stays in the inventory system |
|---|---|---|
| Repeat-order intake | Trade customers send a structured order through a form, or an emailed order is turned into one. It lands in a queue, the customer gets an acknowledgement, and your team keys it through once instead of re-reading an email thread. | Stock levels, pricing, the sales order and invoice |
| Overdue-account chase | A weekly flow lists overdue invoices from your accounting system, sends a polite reminder in steps, and puts accounts past your limit in front of the owner with the history. Xero is a premium connector, see the licence line below. | The ledger and the invoice itself |
| Back-order and price-change notice | When you log a supplier delay or a price change, the customers who ordered that line are emailed the same day, and a list shows who was told and when. | Purchasing, receiving, stock on hand |
Writing an order straight into Unleashed or Cin7 Core through its API is possible but needs a premium connector for the HTTP call, so I quote the keyed-through version first and price the direct write as an option once you have seen it work.
Published prices, each read from the vendor's own page on 22 September 2026. Currencies are the vendor's, nothing converted.
| System | Published price a month | Currency | Read more |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unleashed | Core from $449, Pro from $819 | NZD | Unleashed pricing NZ |
| Cin7 Core | Standard $349, Pro $599, Advanced $1,199 | USD | Cin7 Core pricing NZ |
| MYOB | Lite $35, Pro $65 (no stock module); AccountRight Plus $100, Premier $120 (stock module) | NZD | MYOB pricing NZ |
If you are weighing a move between these, Unleashed alternatives for NZ manufacturers and Unleashed vs Cin7 Core vs Katana set them side by side. A small maker-and-wholesaler often needs both pages; the manufacturers page covers the make side.
From the NZ small business software census, Kove's observed-signal tables on 5,357 NZ firms with a website on file, collected June to September 2026:
| Signal | Firms identified | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Mail platform, all firms | 1,821 firms | 67% Microsoft 365, 33% Google Workspace |
| Staff-size band, all firms | 1,573 firms | 1 to 5 staff 56%, 6 to 10 21%, 11 to 20 10%, 21 or more 12% |
Kove's census does not publish a wholesaler cut. Its sector groups are builders, electricians, engineering consultancies and legal services, and no group under 30 firms is published, so I have no wholesaler figure to quote and will not guess one. What the whole file does show: two in three firms with an identifiable mail platform run Microsoft 365, and about three in four of the firms with a staff-size signal have 10 or fewer people. The file leans towards trades and professional services, so read these as a floor for what a small NZ firm already owns, not a wholesaler benchmark. Every Business plan carries the seeded Power Platform rights the builds above run on: a flow or canvas app against SharePoint, Outlook and Excel, no extra licence, unless a premium connector is involved.
Three things the inventory system does not do for you: repeat-order intake that gives your team a clean queue, an overdue-account chase that runs weekly on its own, and a back-order and price-change notice to the affected customers. Each is $4,000 to $8,000, fixed price.
No. On MYOB's own pricing page, checked 22 September 2026, inventory sits only on AccountRight Plus ($100 a month) and Premier ($120); Lite ($35) and Pro ($65) carry order management but no stock module. Detail in MYOB pricing NZ.
If it reads from Xero, yes: Xero is a premium connector, which puts the flow's owner on Power Automate Premium at NZ$24.30 a month, one licence, not one per staff member. From a SharePoint list or a spreadsheet it needs no extra licence.
For stock on hand, jobs and simple bills of materials, a register on Dataverse can, at $8,000 to $18,000 plus NZ$32.40 a user a month. It does not do landed cost or multi-currency stock valuation, which matters if you import. See Unleashed alternatives.
Rarely. The three builds above run on SharePoint lists and standard connectors. Dataverse is for rebuilding the register itself.
If your customers order through a portal your inventory system already provides, do not build a second intake; use the one you pay for. If you have a dozen trade accounts and know each one by name, a weekly overdue chase is a phone call, not a $4,000 build. And if you import and need landed cost or multi-currency stock, keep Unleashed or Cin7 Core for exactly that and build only around it. I will say so on the call rather than sell a build the subscription already covers.
Every price is fixed and agreed before I start, with nothing added later for scope you did not ask for. Full tier detail on the services page. Other sectors: electricians, building firms, engineering consultancies, law firms and manufacturers.
