Where the tier boundary actually bites
Standard to Pro is the real functional jump for a manufacturer: material requirements planning, the feature that turns a bill of materials into a purchasing and production plan, is not available until Pro. Standard to Advanced roughly quadruples the monthly bill mostly for headcount, 5 to 15 users, integration count, 2 to 6, and sales-order volume, 6,000 to 120,000 a year, not for a new category of feature; a firm under 20 staff rarely needs Advanced's order ceiling.
Who this suits, and who it doesn't
It suits a manufacturer or wholesaler already running multiple sales channels and needing MRP-driven purchasing, prepared to budget in USD with the exchange-rate exposure that carries. It doesn't suit a firm that wants its inventory platform priced and invoiced in New Zealand dollars, since Cin7 Core publishes none, or a business well under 6,000 orders a year that would be paying for Pro or Advanced headroom it won't use. For a firm already on Microsoft 365, a stock and jobs register can be built directly on the licence already paid for: on Dataverse at NZ$32.40 a user a month, with Power BI Pro at NZ$22.60 for the two or three people who need the report. A build like that runs $8,000 to $18,000, priced and invoiced in New Zealand dollars from the start. It does not replace Xero or MYOB, the accounting ledger stays exactly where it is, and it does not attempt landed-cost or multi-currency stock valuation the way Cin7 Core's MRP engine does.
