Both plans are paid monthly and exclude tax; paying annually saves roughly 8%, Core runs $4,939 a year ($412 a month equivalent) and Pro $9,009 a year ($751 a month equivalent). Where the tier boundary actually bites
Core and Pro both run the full inventory and sales-order loop, and both cap out at the same 100 included sales orders a month, so order volume isn't what pushes a firm to Pro. What is: Advanced Inventory Manager, Warehouse Management with multi-bin, and Access Analytics reporting are bundled free into Pro but cost $129 and $149 a month each as add-ons on Core, so a Core firm that wants warehouse-grade stock control is often paying close to Pro's price anyway once those modules go on. Who this suits, and who it doesn't
It suits a product-based manufacturer, workshop or wholesaler already outgrowing spreadsheet or accounting-native stock tracking, wanting real-time inventory across multiple warehouses without the sales-order caps of a general ledger tool. It doesn't suit a one or two-person operation happy with basic stock counts, since Core's $449 is a platform fee regardless of headcount, or a firm that needs full warehouse automation from day one without budgeting for the AIM and WMS add-ons on top. For a firm already on Microsoft 365, a stock and jobs register can be built directly on the licence already paid for: on Dataverse at NZ$32.40 a user a month, with Power BI Pro at NZ$22.60 for the two or three people who need the report. A build like that runs $8,000 to $18,000. It does not replace Xero or MYOB, the accounting ledger stays exactly where it is, and it does not attempt landed-cost or multi-currency stock valuation the way a dedicated inventory platform does.
