Where the tier boundary actually bites
Pro to AccountRight Plus is the wall that matters for a manufacturer or workshop: Lite and Pro are invoicing and order-management tools only, with no stock or inventory module at any price. A firm that needs to know what it actually has on the shelf has to jump straight to AccountRight Plus at $100 a month, close to triple Pro's price, or Premier at $120 if it trades in more than one currency or location.
Who this suits, and who it doesn't
It suits a small NZ firm that wants its accounting, invoicing and stock tracking under one MYOB login, priced and supported in New Zealand from the start, provided it's prepared to run on AccountRight Plus or Premier rather than the cheaper Lite or Pro tiers. It doesn't suit a firm juggling multiple warehouses, bills of materials for assembled products, or job costing beyond basic time billing, since AccountRight's inventory module is built for stock tracking, not manufacturing or project margins. MYOB Acumatica exists for that scale, but it's a separate ERP product, quote-only with no listed price on myob.com/nz.

For a firm already on Microsoft 365, a stock and jobs register can sit alongside MYOB rather than forcing a jump to AccountRight: a stock and jobs register on Dataverse, NZ$32.40 a user a month, with Power BI Pro at NZ$22.60 for the two or three people who read the report. A build like that runs $8,000 to $18,000. It does not replace MYOB as the accounting ledger, invoicing and the GST return stay in MYOB, and it does not attempt landed-cost or multi-currency stock valuation. What it covers is stock on hand, jobs, bills of materials for simple assemblies, and reporting, useful for a firm on Lite or Pro that needs stock visibility without paying for AccountRight's full inventory jump, or one already on AccountRight that wants job costing MYOB doesn't do.
